Austin Spurs - Great Giveback Event!

Scott Ruprecht - Monday, November 28, 2016

Client purchases fueled another great giveback event this past weekend with The Austin Spurs

Six of our kids from Communities in Schools in Austin, TX had an on-court experience with The Austin Spurs, November 19. The Austin Spurs are part of the NBA's "D-League" and they play their home games at the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park. We thoroughly enjoyed working with The Austin Spurs and look forward to our next event with them!

Our Kids:

Gave "High 5s" to the players from the tunnel

Were recognized before the crowd at half-court after the first time-out

Had pictures taken with the cheerleaders

Received an Austin Spurs t-shirt

Part of the McDonald's "Small Fries" program

This was a very special event for them right before Thanksgiving.

It’s a quick, easy transaction and the best part - it will benefit kids by giving them an experience they would never have otherwise. We won’t go to anyone else when we need tickets in the future.” - Barbara Dundee, Executive Director, Marvin Lewis Community Fund

Giveback Sports Uses Ticket Profits to Send Less Fortunate Youth to Live Sporting Events

Giveback Sports wants your ticket purchases to mean more. On every sports ticket or travel package you buy from them, a portion of the sale gives kids a chance to experience events and games like you do. In just a few short months, ticket purchases have already fueled giveback events for youth through the University of Texas, the Cincinnati Reds and FC Cincinnati. Over the next six months several more events are scheduled.

"In addition to sending kids to games for the first time, we create unique experiences on top of it," said Scott Ruprecht, Founder and President of Giveback Sports. "We worked with the Reds a few weeks ago on an event that got kids on the field to watch batting practice, sit in a suite for the game, and to meet current Reds player and 2010 MVP Joey Votto. He met and signed a baseball for each child in our group. Unlike other ticket and travel companies that focus solely on investors and stockholders, we focus on creating great experiences for these kids. We just take less money so we can make an impact."

Phil Castellini, COO of The Cincinnati Reds, mentioned, "It was great to work with Giveback Sports on a recent event at Great American Ball Park. We love their mission and look forward to working with them again."

The idea behind Giveback Sports is simple: to take something most people already do (buying tickets) and use that action to benefit others.

"I love that Giveback Sports, like TOMS, is a Profit + Purpose business. When a company leads with 'giving,' customers can engage in such a special way. I look forward to following Scott's continued success!" said Blake Mycoskie, Founder & Chief Shoe Giver, TOMS.

Scott Garrison, of Versailles, Ohio who recently purchased Ohio State tickets for his son's 14th birthday through Giveback Sports' website mentioned, "It was a seamless transaction. And on top of that a few hours later I received an email saying my purchase would help fund a Nov. 19 event with The Austin Spurs. So for me the giveback was tangible and I really liked that."

Seeing the idea become a reality has rewards that are impossible to put a price on. Saddia Kindrick, a student at Westwood Elementary in Cincinnati, said, "Thank you so much for sending me and my classmates to a game. I really appreciated it because I have never been before. I had so much fun."

"You have greatly impacted the lives of 11 boys and girls who attended your event. They not only had a life-changing moment in their lives, they witnessed how to treat people with care, selflessness and respect. Keep impacting lives and making a positive difference in our future leaders," said Rex Currin, a teacher and chaperone at Holy Family School.

Cincinnati Reds Deliver First-Class Experience For Our Kids

Scott Ruprecht - Thursday, September 15, 2016

*Make Your Tickets Mean More - On every sports ticket or travel package you buy, a portion of our profits gives kids a chance to experience games like you do. Kids who otherwise can't do it on their own.

The Cincinnati Reds helped us create an event these kids will remember forever! 11 kids from Holy Family and Westwood Elementary in Cincinnati, OH received the following:

-On-field experience to watch batting practice before the game.

-Personal interaction with 2010 MVP Joey Votto who autographed a baseball for each kid.

-Private tour of the dugout and clubhouse.

-Private SUITE for the game.

-Goodie bag that included a Bobblehead for each kid.

-Personal visit from the mascots.

The Reds defeated The Milwaukee Brewers 6-4.

The chaperones for the trip were Elder High School Varsity Baseball Coach Mark Thompson and Freshman Coach Rex Currin. We work hard to identify the right kids for our events and could not feel better about those selected for this experience.

A special thank you to Phil Castellini and Megan Stuerenberg from The Reds. We appreciate the attention given to Giveback Sports and we look forward to working together again.

Giveback Sports Kicks-Off Cincinnati at FC Game!

Scott Ruprecht - Sunday, July 31, 2016

*Make Your Tickets Mean More - On every sports ticket or travel package you buy, a portion of our profits gives kids a chance to experience games like you do. Kids who otherwise can't do it on their own.

We had our first giveback with FC Cincinnati on Saturday, July 30. We were joined by 6 hard-working girls from the Dayton, KY soccer team along with their Head Coach and Assistant. The girls never had a chance to do anything like this before. As of 2013, Dayton, KY had 34.7% of its residents with an income below the poverty line. We really wanted to do something for the youth in this area.

We arrived early to meet Josh Staley from FC Cincinnati. Josh gave the group a private tour of The Lindner Center at The University of Cincinnati for about 45 minutes. The girls were able to see what Division I Athletics look like and how hard work and determination can pay off. They finally warmed up after 20 mins or so and started asking some great questions!

The gates opened at 6 PM and Giveback Sports treated the girls and coaches to food and drink from the concession stand.  We anxiously awaited the start of the game at 7 PM. Although we didn't get a win against Charleston Battery a 1-1 tie is much better then a loss and keeps them in 3rd place and within striking distance of 1st.

Thank you FC Cincinnati for rolling out the red carpet for our event and giving the group a wonderful experience!

Fox 19 covered the event and the segment will air at 11:15 PM, Sunday July 31.
